Thrumster Parish Church

Thrumster is a crofting community five miles south of Wick. The present church was built in 1900 after over 260 local residents indicated to the Church authorities that they would like to have a Church in their community. It is a very attractive country Church. Plain on the outside it has a special warmth and beauty inside. Many people have commented on the special peace they feel during Services there. The acoustics are extra special.

In 1968 the congregation of Bruan/Thrumster was re-organised. Bruan was united with Lybster and Thrumster was united with what was then Wick St.Andrew’s. The united congregation is now called Pulteneytown and Thrumster.

Services are held every week at 3p.m. A special event is the annual community Harvest Thanksgiving Service held at the beginning of November
