We value our worship services each Sunday, but there is so much more that you can get involved in throughout the week - and throughout the year. All the groups listed below are open to everyone in the community (who are of the right age group!). Why not come along and join with us in the various groups in which the congregation are involved. You will be made welcome whether you come to all meetings or just one. Please get in touch if you wish to know more about any of the groups. New members are always welcome. Unfortunately due to the COVID-19 pandemic, groups are suspended until future notice.
For children and young people
Creche
There is a Creche facility available every week during the morning service – ask the member of the Welcome Team at the door for details.
Youth and Children
Groups for primary and secondary aged children/youth meet for bible study and activities during the morning service at Pulteneytown Church, leaving partway through the service.
Holiday Club and Breakout
This is held each summer during the last week of the school holidays for primary school children. A large team of helpers co-ordinate talks, activities, drama and outings for up to 150 youngsters. During this week, we also have 'Breakout' - an evening programme of themed activities for secondary aged kids. The week concludes with a special holiday club celebration on the Sunday evening, where parents and friends can see all that has been going on during the week!
For the not-so-young
The Guild
A branch of THE GUILD meets throughout the autumn and winter (Sept - March) on alternate Tuesday evenings. A very varied programme is arranged each year. In addition the members are active in a wide range of activities in the church. At one time, this was called the Women's Guild, but now there is no discrimination: men and women are both equally welcome. Transport provided.
President Mrs. Margaret Ella.
Golden Years
This group meets on once a month on a Wednesday afternoon in Pulteneytown Church Hall. Members informally meet round tables for tea, home bakes and a short talk. For more information about this group, please contact Andrew Barrie.
Knit and Natter
This group meets weekly during the winter months for knitting, sewing and handcrafts. But perhaps the real purpose of this group is to get together to catch up with the latest news.
For all ages
Wednesday Bible Study and Prayer
Bible Study and Prayer - every Wednesday evening at 7.30pm in the church lounge. The lounge is accessed by the stairs in the 'New Hall' entrance at the East side of the church. At our prayer time we remember those in the community who have particular needs as well as issues concerning the world church. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we now have a monthly online prayer meeting by Zoom on the third Sunday of each month at 6:30pm. Please get in touch with our minister if you would like to attend.
Bring and Share Lunch
Bring and Share Lunch - once a term (and for other special occasions) we have a Sunday morning family service. This is followed by a lunch in the church halls. We bring along some food and share what we have brought. Everyone is welcome, even if they have not taken any food along.
Coffee Bar
The courtyard at the door of the church has an area set aside with comfortable seats and a coffee bar. The Coffee Bar is open on Wednesday mornings between 10-12, and anyone is welcome to join us. The Coffee bar also serves hot drinks before the morning service, and after the evening service on Sundays.

Thrumster Informal Fellowship
On the last Sunday of each month, the Thrumster fellowship gather after the afternoon service for a cup of tea and some informal fellowship.
Come along - We'd love to see you!
Please get in touch if you wish to know more about any of the groups. New members are always welcome.
